A True Story
Twee jaar lang werkte choreograaf en danser Daniel Mariblanca aan de hartverwarmende voorstelling A True Story. In deze ontroerende voorstelling stonden trans personen – van 8 tot 66 jaar – op het podium met door hen gekozen familieleden. Zij vertelden in beweging, woord en beeld over hun gezamenlijke reis.
Tijdens dit proces legden Daniel en illustrator Claudia De Sessa het proces vast in de publicatie The Magical Book of A True Story. Hierin worden de geschreven brieven van de hoofdrolspelers uit de voorstelling gecombineerd met de intieme illustraties van Claudia. Speciaal voor What You See zijn een aantal van deze beelden nu te zien in een eenmalige expo!
Extra: op maandag 13 november vindt van 18:30 – 19:30 een gesprek met Daniel en Claudia plaats in boekhandel Savannah Bay, waar je meteen een gesigneerd exemplaar kan kopen. Daarna lopen we naar Bibliotheek De Neude om de expositie feestelijk te openen.
